Obituary of Shawn Ray Huff

Shawn Ray Huff fell asleep in death surrounded by loved ones, on Friday December 10th after battling Covid. Shawn was born on January 13th, 1972, in Silver City, New Mexico to Jennifer Huff and Raymond 'Butch' Steyskal. He was 49 years old at the time of his passing. Shawn graduated from Silver High School in 1990. His early years were spent growing up in Pinos Altos close to his grandparents. Shawn, his mom and two sisters moved to Silver City in 1980 when his mom married Jerry Huff, his wonderful dad. He worked at a variety of different jobs over the years, sawmilling at Fowler Lumber Co., fire cache for Gila National Forest Service, road construction with James Hamilton Construction and mechanic for Phelps Dodge Chino and Tyrone. Shawn found true joy when he enrolled in the welding program at WNMU, he excelled at this even becoming an instructor. Shawn and his family moved to Queen Creek, Arizona in 2015 and started SCPWeldz, a construction welding business. Because of his prior work and life experience, the company thrived under his leadership. His hard work ethic and pride in craftsmanship were evident. The values Shawn brought to the business, are the same values he instilled in his sons and will continue to be implemented by his family going forward. The knowledge he brought to the company and customers will be greatly missed. Shawn was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, shooting, fishing, riding atv's and just being outside, but his love of the outdoors always came second to the love he had for his family, a loving husband, father and grandfather and friend to anyone he met and if you wanted to see him light up give him a grandbaby to hold. Shawn's greatest love was his wife and family. Shawn and Ashley met in high school and married shortly after he graduated. As their family grew they spent many hours teaching and showing their children how to be good people, help others and share what they have. Shawn's favorite place to visit in the summers was his family's ranch - Steeple U, showing his kids how to love Jehovah's creation, as well as spending time together and with many friends. Shawn's vast knowledge of history became helpful as he learned the truths of the Bible. He enjoyed telling others what he learned about the Bible. He found a great joy in sharing the brands he and the family made with the delegates, brothers and sisters that attended the 2019 International Convention. Shawn always had a profound love for others and looked for the good in them. Shawn leaves behind his wife of 28 years Ashley, his four children; Kaleigh Kelly (Shane), Taylor Huff (Kelsie), Tyler Huff and Katelynn Forrer (Dominic) and his three grandchildren; Eryn Kelly, Kynlee Kelly and Owen Forrer. Parents Jerry and Jennifer Huff. Siblings Wendy and Tiffany Huff, Lance Huff, Ronnie Huff (Shelli) and Lori Jones (Tony). Uncle Martin Wright (Vicky). Aunts Margaret Hughes (Mike), Elizabeth Wright and Judy Ward (Tip). Cousins, Tisha Babineaux (Keith), Steven Scott, Dr. Rhonda Van Dran and Dean Little. Many brothers and sisters in law, Nieces and Nephews and Dear Friends. Shawn is preceded in death by his grandparents Peggy and Raymond Steyskal, Ralph and Peggy Wright, Melvin and Billie Beth Huff, his biological father Raymond F. (Butch) Steyskal, his biological aunts Kay Little and Gwenie Steyskal.
