Obituary of Alan David Smith

Alan David Smith, 66, of Maricopa, passed away on August 16, 2021 in Chandler, AZ. He was born on July 6, 1955 to Elmer and Chiyoko (Kubo) Smith in Colorado Springs, CO. He attended school at University of Phoenix and worked as a Admission Specialist. On February 16, 2016 he married Nancy Sprouse. Alan is survived by Nancy, his loving spouse of 8 years. He was an animal lover and enjoying spending time in nature. Alan also enjoyed Golf. He was awarded the Ancora Leadership Program and Strategy Award which both he and Nancy were very proud of. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Smith, mother, Chiyoko (Kubo) Smith. Alan is survived by his wife Nancy Ellen Smith, and brothers Kaoru Smith, William Smith, and Dan Smith. A private Family Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, 2:00 pm at the Samaritan Funeral Home Ahwatukee in Phoenix, AZ. with Rev. Tina Wilson officiating.
